In the SMT process, we often encounter short circuit and poor connection on some PCBA boards with BGA. It is difficult to solve those problems by relying on traditional 2D Xray.

3D X-Ray is a high-end inspection equipment for BGA welding quality that is only configured by top EMS factories, and YXLON of Germany and Omron of Japan are industry leaders in 3D X-Ray. Everyone knows that the 2D X-Ray commonly used in EMS factories on the market detects whether the circuit has obvious short circuits, and whether the components with solder joints such as BGA, QFN or LGA hidden under the body of the part have solder short circuits, bubbles, and hole sizes. It has a good detection ability in terms of whether it exceeds the standard, but 2D X-Ray is also difficult to identify the really troublesome HIP (pillow effect), false solder, and slight tin connection.

3D X-Ray is here to solve these problems. It can synthesize thousands of 2D plane images into a clear and stereoscopic 3D effect, and the subtle defects of BGA packaging will be clearly revealed.

With high-end 3D Xray, it means that inspectors should wear perspective eyes, and the intractable diseases in the welding process: virtual welding, voids, little tin, and fine tin are all visible, and there is nowhere to escape.
